Hi gang! I've noticed lately that there is a lot of talk and confusion about 'Organic' foods and what the word 'Organic' actually means. So sit tight! Let's clear this one up..
Due to an ever growing population, the demand for food has become higher and higher. And over the years farmers have sought out different methods to ensure that their crops were protected from drought, floods, insects and disease.
Whilst modern day pesticides do greatly increase the chances of a crop reaching full maturity and a farmers livelihood, they have also introduced a pleather of chemicals, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides into our diets and bodies.
These unnatural substances increase toxicity levels in our bodies, and unfortunately, their greater long-term impact on human health and the Earth is still unknown.

Animal products such as meat, eggs, poultry, fish and dairy can also be labeled organic as products that have come from animals who were not fed antibiotics or growth hormones.
Some studies have argued that Organic foods are higher in nutrients and antioxidants due to a boosted production of Phytochemicals which protect the plant from weeds and bugs in the absence of artificial intervention. Whilst there is still debate on this topic, you can be sure that you will be choosing the chemical free, thus healthier version for your body.
